OPINION: We have a racist in the White House
In my 65 years I never thought I’d see a President of the United States behave and engage as I did last night, yet I did, all of us did. His behavior was an abuse to our senses and decency. While many of us knew we had a President who would rather lie than tell the truth, many doubted he was a racist. Well, he removed all doubt last night. He opened his mouth and directed the Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by.”
Stand Back and Stand By
FBI Director, Christopher Wray explained to his congressional interlocutors that the greatest domestic threat to our democracy are the white supremacists. He said this in 2019, he said it again in February 2020 and again as recently as 17 September 2020.
Following this statement by the President of “stand back and stand by”, within an hour, the Proud Boys had fashioned their next shoulder patch and took these words as a green light call to arms. These white supremacists, acting like military wannabees in their camouflaged clothes, with their big guns, trucks and small penises feel themselves even more empowered than following their march in Charlottesville in August 2017.
The tweet from Amy Aiello Lofgran (wife of Nils Lofgran) spoke for many of us.
The President, contradicts his appointed director of the FBI with his shallow attempts to elevate the the anti-facists idea of ANTIFA to that of a “terrorist organization” and peaceful protest as equivalent to the Proud Boys and Boogaloo Bois taking arms to our streets.
Trump is not running against Biden
What we saw last night is that our President isn’t running against Joe Biden, he is running from the election which will remove him from office. He is afraid, and should be, his extended Andy Warhol moment is coming to an end.
In these next 34 days, we must, as a nation mobilize the vote. You see, these antics were designed to dissuade you from exercising your constitutional right to vote.
The artificial and frankly bullshit claims that mail-in or absentee voting is insecure will continue to emit from the White House.
To that end, allow me to provide you with a well curated source of data on every state in the union on how mail-in/absentee voting (Voting Outside the Polling Place) is conducted within your state by the National Council of State Legislatures.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Trump does not support these ideals, Trump does not deserve our support. Vote, Vote early if you are able, but vote and remove this racist from the White House.
